World Maths Day

A brilliant effort from all the classes for World Maths Day!

Nursery children explored Number, Shape and Measures in lots of fun activities. They even participated in a Maths homework challenge! 
Primary 1 had lots of fun challenges using their problem solving skills to estimate, order and measure:
Measuring beanstalks, Ordering beanstalks by height, Estimating and measuring classroom objects, Measuring Mrs Devlin - problem solving element - Will we need the same number of cubes as bricks to measure Mrs Devlin?
Miss Magee was busy with Primary 2 children participating in a fun active challenge, they raced against the timer to explore different durations. Primary 7 pupils then tried Izak9 challenges using their problem solving and communication skills.
Primary 3 and 4 took part in practical and written task board stations using manipulatives to gain understanding. 
Key Stage 2 pupils participated in Mathletics World Maths Day, gaining lots of points for our school!
