Primary 7 enjoyed an online workshop with Carlos from Hippsychology. There were lots of wonderful lessons to learn, the inspiring story of Ezra Frech who showed determination, courage and resilience and that, 'It's ok to be different.'
Carlos reminded us that we can all have a bad day, but that this is only temporary. We're challenging our children to 'Hunt the Good.' Children can reframe their thinking and think of what went well and of all the little successes that they've had through the day.
We're also asking the children to show empathy- put themselves in the shoes of someone else. Can we show kindness- random acts of kindness make us feel better about ourselves releasing Serotonin and lighten our mood.
