Easter

8th Apr 2020

As we approach Easter I would like to thank you all once again for your support over this past few weeks.  I would like to pay tribute to all the school staff who have worked so hard in ensuring that learning can still take place during this time.  A special thank you to all the children in our school you are working so well in very difficult times. I hope that all our children, parents and staff have a well deserved rest and can enjoy some quality time with your families.

Spend some time as a family over the coming days talking about the Easter story and try to watch some of the Easter services online.  Pray as a family and offer thanks for all our hospital staff working so hard at this time.

The advice from the Public Health Agency and Minister of Education remains firmly, ‘Stay at home and stay safe’ to prevent the spread of the virus- please follow this advice over the Easter holidays.

Online learning activities for the children will finish on Thursday morning and it’s important to take a break over Easter and take some rest from school work, but keep reading and get out into the garden to do some planting or tidying and into the kitchen and do some baking and cooking!

Well done as well to all who entered the Easter Egg Competition- the artistic talent at Glendermott is amazing! Winners have been selected and can be found on the school website:

Teachers will reconvene on Monday 20th April to organise work for the summer term, teachers will be in touch then with further instructions for the term. If you are key worker and you require supervision for your child or children after Easter email cduddy605@c2kni.net

We wish all our families a peaceful and happy Easter

Take care of each other

Mr Duddy
