19th Apr 2020

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter break and continue to keep safe.

Staff will use Monday 20th April to prepare resources for the summer term with online learning resuming on Tuesday 21st April.

During this time please do your best to keep in contact with the school - for children in Years 1 to 6 the easiest way to check in with the teacher is through Seesaw - if you haven’t used this as of yet please try to do so - if you require any assistance please contact Mr Duddy as soon as possible.

Children in Year 7 should check in with their class teacher through email (using Outlook on Office 365) as least once a week, and also check the Primary 7 section of the school website every week.

Nursery parents should visit the Nursery Home Learning section of the school website on a weekly basis.  This will be updated frequently.

A Google Classroom has been set up for Yr 6 children who are completing Transfer Test work.  Please check this on a daily basis and if you haven't yet logged in please do so as soon as possible.

Starting this week our Teaching Assistants will also be ringing our boys and girls to say hi and catch up. Anyone whose child would appreciate a wee call from time to time from our classroom assistants, please email cduddy605@c2kni.net

Don’t forget to keep up to date with online learning resources through the school website, https://www.glendermott.net/home-learning-/ Online learning resources will also be shared on the school Facebook page - for example Sentinus have some great daily challenges.

All children will have tasks set on MyMaths, please ensure that your child keeps up to date with this - if you need help logging in, please contact class teacher or Mr Duddy.

Keep reading as much as possible, there is plenty of reading material available online- Overdrive App- check the school website for more information on this and AR testing is also available from home.

If you are an essential key worker we remain available to offer supervised learning if you cannot source childcare elsewhere. If you require this please contact Mr Duddy via email cduddy605@c2kni.net  If you could please contact before 12 noon on the day prior to supervision being needed.

We will continue to do our best to support you and your children through this difficult time.  If you do have any worries or concerns, you can email Mr Duddy or use the Staying Safe section on the Home Learning area on the school website.

Take care of yourselves and each other.

God bless.
